You can now easily connect your Google Workspace account to Instantly without the need for an app password by using the OAuth app access method. Here\u2019s how to set it up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Sign in to Instantly and Google Workspace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you have Instantly open in one browser tab and Google Workspace (Gmail) open in another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Enable IMAP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verify that IMAP is enabled for all email accounts. If not, follow this guide on how to enable IMAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Go to the Admin Console<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access your Google Workspace Admin console and navigate to Security<\/strong> > API Controls<\/strong> > App Access Control<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Register Instantly as an OAuth App<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Click View List<\/strong>, then select Add App<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Choose OAuth App Name or Client ID<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 From your Instantly account, go to Add New<\/strong> > Google\/G Suite<\/strong> > Select \u201cYes, IMAP has been enabled\u201d > and choose Option 2: OAuth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Copy the Client ID and paste it into the search field in Google Workspace, then click Search<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: Configure Instantly OAuth App<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Select Instantly<\/strong> from the search results, check the box, and click Select<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Mark Instantly as Trusted<\/strong> and click Configure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6: Finish OAuth Setup<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once configured, you\u2019ll see \u201cInstantly OAuth v1\u201d listed among your trusted apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Go back to Instantly and complete the login.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Select the Google account to connect, or use Use another account<\/strong> to add a different account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Approve the required access permissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re only seeing your workspace admin account, click Use another account<\/strong> to sign in to other Google accounts. It\u2019s often helpful to use an Incognito window to prevent previous login sessions from interfering, allowing you to add the correct account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
